Creative Treatment: Using Right Brain Interventions in Treatment (2 CEUs)
March 22 • 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Elizabeth Griffin, MA
Treatment often involves a cognitive behavioral approach that is effective in engaging the left hemisphere of the brain. While this type of treatment is important in assisting clients in the change process, treatment approaches that involve the right brain can also be helpful in addressing many therapeutic issues and engaging clients in treatment. This workshop will present creative and practical right brain interventions for both adolescent and adult clients using imagery, music, art and therapeutic toys.
- Participants will learn the research related to using right brain treatment interventions
- Participants will be able to identify how right brain treatment interventions engage clients in treatment
- Participants will learn specific right brain treatment interventions
