Dr. Vaccarella is a licensed psychologist specializing in forensic psychology. She received her doctorate degree in clinical forensic psychology from Alliant International University in Los Angeles, California, and has specialized training and education in psychological assessment and the application of psychology in legal matters. She has trained and worked within forensic and correctional settings, including the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, the Minnesota Northeastern Correctional Center, and the Minnesota Department of Human Services-Minnesota Sex Offender Program. Dr. Vaccarella serves as both a court-appointed examiner and a privately retained expert throughout the country. Dr. Vaccarella supervises clinical and forensic mental health trainees pursuing licensure as LPs, LPCCs, and LICSWs at the graduate and post-graduate levels. In her supervisory role, she also trains clinicians in providing supervision and has developed a supervision training program that has met the Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy requirements for on-the-job supervision training.
