This is a live webinar which will take place on June 8, 2026 from 6-8 PM Central Time on Zoom. You can purchase access to attend live or pre-register to view the recording on/after June 9, 2026. All registrations include 12 months of access and two CEUs.

We will review the main categories of medications employed to treat psychiatric conditions using plain language and illustrative cases. Bring your questions and client experiences to discuss, as I hope this will be engaging with practical applications for your day-to-day practice.

Learning Objectives

  • Increase familiarity with commonly used psychiatric medications and their indications.
  • Learn to identify side effects of medications as well as symptoms that may arise during medication changes.
  • Learn strategies to facilitate effective communication between therapists and prescribers.

Presenter Bio

Carson Brown is an integrative psychiatrist in private practice serving adult patients in Minnesota and California. Her areas of specialization include treatment of complex trauma, anxiety and mood disorders, eco-anxiety, and perimenopausal symptoms. She uses holistic approaches including psychotherapy, medication, supplements and herbs, nutrition, and mind-body practices. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, she graduated from the UCSF School of Medicine and completed psychiatric residency training at San Mateo County. She moved to Minnesota in 2021 and lives in the West Metro with her partner, two kids, and two cats. Go Lynx!

  • CE REQUIREMENTS:
    To earn 2 CE credits (recorded, non-interactive), you must watch the entire video. You will not be able to fast-forward or rewind.
  • During the video will be 3 slides with a keyword. The keyword will be on the screen for 20 seconds. Write the keywords down as you will be asked what the keywords are in the survey
  • Certificates of completion will be provided once the video reaches 100% watched, after you mark each lesson "complete" and after submitting the survey. This webinar is setup as a digital course and the course needs to be "100% complete" in order for the completion certificate to unlock. Once the PDF is available, please save it to your computer.
  • This includes  access to the recorded version for 1 year.
